Bombers Original is primarily a pioneer brand closely tied to each step in the evolution of a cult garment that eventually became known as the Bomber jacket.

This iconic navy blue or khaki nylon military blouson was created for US Air Force pilots in the early 1950s. In the early 60s, a “warning” orange lining was added to help pilots in distress be spotted easily. It was then commercialized by numerous leading brands including Bombers Original. This affordable line, geared to the general public, has today been developed in a broad range of colors. Thus the short, puff-sleeved blouson popularized by both Vietnam veterans and Hollywood stars from Marilyn Monroe to James Dean has today became a cult fashion item.
