CHAPAL : French leather manufacture renowned since 1832 for its exper9se in bespoke and luxury men's ready-to-wear. Maison CHAPAL is one of the oldest French fashion houses and one of the very few brands to create and manufacture all of its collections in its own factory. More than a line of clothes and accessories, CHAPAL is a world of astonishing contrasts, where the basic and the eccentric, technical virtuosity and oIeat crea9vity come together. The collec9on is infused with the prolific spirit of Jean-François Bardinon, inspired by his passion for classic cars and a long history alongside the pioneers of aeronau9cs. His crea9ons embrace and reflect the House's commitment to excellence: craQsmanship put at the service of luxury, offering authen9c pieces with original and structured design.
COLTESSE : COLTESSE IS AN INDEPENDENT, ECO-CONSCIOUS AND AGILE WORKSHOP BASED IN PARIS.
Coltesse produces in France and Europe timeless and comfortable essentials to wear from Monday to Sunday. A nonchalant and eco-conscious wardrobe that calls for travel, encounters and lightness. Coltesse's ambition: to translate notions of ease, elsewhere and relaxation, by playing on the choice of materials, volumes and details.Between a rigorous sophistication for an everyday wardrobe and a freedom of movement, our creations find their inspiration in workwear, tailoring and small touches of sportswear.
Coltesse aims to be an active participant in a cosmopolitan Paris that is open to the world.
DE BONNE FACTURE : I imagined a menswear wardrobe that brings back memories while always feeling up to date. A label with simple lines and quality materials that last. Clothes that can be put on, used, infused with movements, personal stories, while connecting them to the ateliers that have made them, to the hands that have assembled them.
Clothing is closely linked to nature, to agriculture where the fibers stem from: the cotton and linen flowers, the thistles that were used to brush flannels, the wool from the sheep shorn by farmers. Some textile regions keep cultures of craftsmanship alive. They are often linked to their landscapes and the activities of their inhabitants, like wool in Brittany, close to the ocean, or wool and leather in the Tarn, in the Midi-Pyrenean. Paying a tribute to these local cultures of craftsmanship, highlighting « made by » without being limited to a country, is central to my philosophy.
