JULIE DUBOIS
As an architecture student Julie Dubois already showed genuine interest in sewing and soon turned her enthusiasm to hats. In 2012, after several years of working as an architect, she decided to launch her own label and devote hersel fentirely to her passion.
Her architectural training clearly influences her creative approach and the minimalism of modern architecture in particular inspires her collections. The geometric forms and pure, unadorned lines of the 1920s are another rich source of inspiration.
In her studio in Paris’ 20th arrondissement, Julie Dubois applies the milliner’s traditional savoir-faire to craft all her hats. She works with only quality noble, natural materials such as 100% merino wool felt and woolbroad cloth for her autumn/winter collections, straw and linen for spring/summer.
With now ten years’ experience, the Julie Dubois studio makes elegant, quality hats for easy everyday wear.
